Writing Exercise Wednesday #29

Back to work after the busy conference and back to writing exercises.

WEW #29
Prompt: I took a name and just had fun. What's in a name - what do names mean to you and your characters?
Result:
Robert Borisdell – Robert, Rob, Bob, Bobby – he was all these names to me.  Well, maybe he was never Bob.  No, not Bob.
When we fooled around, he was Bobby.  When we had serious discussions, he was Rob.
The boys he played football with called him Boris.  I never did.  It’s a guy thing.
But the last thing I ever called him was Robert.  That was the day my heart was broken, shattered, annihilated.
That was the day he became Bob.
